Feld Energy is one of the pioneers in Agri-photovoltaics (Agri-PV)This process uses agricultural land for both food production and electricity generation through PV systems. This not only provides additional income for farmers and increases resilience to crop failures, but also contributes to the energy transition.
Only at the end of 2024 did Feld Energy announce the Completion of its pre-seed financing round in the amount of 1.7 million euros. Just a few weeks later, the cash register is ringing again. Jochen Engert, Daniel Krauss, and André Schwämmlein, the founders of Flix, are investing an undisclosed sum. The company aims to use the new financing to meet growing demand and accelerate growth.
Feld Energy is also strengthening its management team. Lukas Zels will join the company as co-founder and managing director. Bernhard Gruber will also become managing director and chief engineer for agricultural solutions.

Lukas Zels is an experienced serial entrepreneur who has been active in the international startup scene for over twelve years. He worked for the company builder Rocket Internet in various leadership roles in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. From 2013 to 2020, Zels led his own company, Locafox, which he successfully sold in 2020. He then founded and led Sezzle Europe, a buy now pay later solution. At Feld Energy, he will be responsible for day-to-day operations as COO.
Bernhard Gruber holds a doctorate in process engineering and has built up considerable expertise in the planning and operation of solar parks and agri-PV systems over the past few years.
