Let's hack journalism!
You have a weekend to think outside the box and develop new ideas, new storytelling and new tools in journalism.
As part of a team of journalists, designers, and developers, you'll spend two days building a prototype for a tool or format. The goal? Journalism that thinks digitally only and doesn't just optimize the status quo, but looks ahead.
What we have
Wi-Fi, access to APIS and free meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks).
What you need
Your laptop – and for development, it is best to use your own or open development platforms.
Team rules
A maximum of five people per team, including at least one journalist, one programmer, and one designer. We'll help you put together the team on Friday evening.
Here you can find the detailed program and further information about the Digital Journalism Hackathon.
