Devanthro is a Munich-based robotics and AI company developing Robodies – robot avatars for the elderly care market. Combining robotics, AI, AR, and 5G, these robots become human-like robot avatars that allow their operators to teleport their senses, actions, and presence anywhere in the world. The Robodies thus become multipliers for caregivers, enabling them to work alongside local helpers to provide protection and continuous support while maintaining personal contact with people in the community.
The startup emerged from the Roboy project at the Technical University of Munich and also counts the Charité Berlin, the University of Oxford, and the Diakonie (German Diakonie) among its partners. An early prototype is also part of the permanent exhibition at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
