Pionierkraft aims to realize the construction of photovoltaic systems using its innovative hardware and digital services. In focus the Munich This is especially true for smaller apartment buildings. While solar systems for single-family homes and large tenant electricity systems are already booming, this market – which comprises almost 40 percent of Germany's housing stock – is barely developed. As a one-stop shop, Pionierkraft offers a comprehensive, worry-free package without administrative overhead, integrating PV, heating, and mobility applications for optimal decentralized energy use.
The Munich-based company has now successfully completed its Series A financing round, raising an unspecified "high seven-figure sum." The round is led by First Imagine, a European venture capital firm focused on cleantech technologies. Pionierkraft plans to use the capital to further expand its hardware and software solutions and advance the development of the next product generation.
Andreas Eberhardt, CEO of Pionierkraft, explains:
"The Series A financing round enables us to scale our specialist partner network and large-scale production of our latest energy-sharing solution, enabling us to play a leading role in bringing about real change in the energy sector. I am extremely proud of the entire Pionierkraft team, whose many right decisions and hard work have made our current position possible."
“We believe that pioneering power offers exactly the solution the market needs.”
Alexander Starchenko, Managing Partner of First Imagine, says:
"The partnership with Pionierkraft is an exciting step forward in our mission to drive sustainable development and facilitate the transition to renewable energy. The company's innovative energy-sharing solution addresses the large multi-family residential sector in Germany, which has so far been virtually excluded from the otherwise booming rooftop solar installations. This gap must be closed, and we believe Pionierkraft offers exactly the solution the market needs."
In addition, the Pionierkraft Advisory Board is receiving reinforcements. Hartmut Michels, CEO of Standata GmbH, will support the continued rollout of Pionierkraft power plants in multi-family homes with his expertise in the energy sector. He has more than 25 years of professional and management experience in the mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries, including more than 20 years at leading German companies specializing in utility and heating cost accounting and the manufacture of metering devices for consumption recording. Michels sees great potential in the solution:
“The pioneering power plant is a major step towards the Home Energy Management System (HEMS) and thus sets the pace for the energy transition in multi-family homes.”
