Which startups particularly interested Munich Startup readers this month? We explore this question in our "Startups of the Month" feature and select the top 5 startups.
1st place: With an appearance on “The Lion’s Den” he makes it bye ByeToe took first place among the startups of the month in April. Marie Mueller, the founder of Bye Bye Toe, has developed a thong that, according to the founder, not only "prevents the crotch from being pulled in," but is also "super comfortable." The so-called cameltoe effect—the visual deformation of a woman's crotch—is unpleasant and sometimes painful. The Bye Bye Toe, with its reinforced soft padding in the middle of the thong, is intended to remedy this. Tijen Onaran, one of the DHDL judges, is immediately enthusiastic about the product and offered the founder the requested 100,000. What initially seemed like a perfect deal fell through later: Onaran decided not to invest in Bye Bye Toe after all, as the fashion theme did not fit into her company's strategic direction.
