AppliedAI and Silo AI enter into partnership

The AppliedAI initiative and the AI lab Silo AI will collaborate to jointly build a European ecosystem for AI implementation. The goal is to provide companies with a single point of contact for support, regardless of their AI implementation phase.

Since its founding The AppliedAI initiative aims to actively shape Europe's innovative capacity in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). To this end, AppliedAI aims to serve as a neutral platform for companies, startups, public institutions, and academia to accelerate the application of the latest methods and technologies in the field of AI. According to its own statements, AppliedAI has now established itself as the largest European initiative for the application of trustworthy AI.

As has now been announced, AppliedAI is entering into a partnership with Silo AI from Finland, Europe's largest private AI laboratory. Together, the two companies aim to build the largest AI implementation ecosystem in Europe, covering both enablement and deployment services. This AI center will pool expertise and thus strengthen AI capabilities on the continent. Companies looking to advance AI implementation can find the right partner in the ecosystem and thus benefit from expanded competencies and greater scaling opportunities.

The advantages of the partnership at a glance:

  • Access to the latest AI implementation methods throughout the entire AI journey
  • Strengthening competencies to meet customer needs in the local market
  • One-stop shop for long-term AI support, regardless of the AI implementation phase

The partnership initially focuses on Germany and the Netherlands. Peter Sarlin, CEO and co-founder of Silo AI, says:

"AppliedAI is a key European player in AI preparation and enablement activities, while Silo AI develops several hundred production-ready AI systems and models and has also made a significant contribution to scaling AI. Through the partnership with AppliedAI, we aim to bring our experience to the German market and support companies in the DACH region in implementing and scaling their AI projects. Together, we can be a long-term AI partner for our customers, supporting them from the early stages of enablement to scaling AI deployment across all operational processes."

Expertise in the long-term development of AI products

And Andreas Liebl, CEO and Co-Founder of AppliedAI, explains:

"Because we share a similar vision, we're a great fit and complement each other's strengths. Silo AI brings outstanding expertise in the long-term development of AI products, particularly in Scandinavia. This greatly expands AppliedAI's technical capabilities."

The AppliedAI initiative was established in 2017 by Andreas Liebl as a division of UnternehmerTUM Munich and transformed into a joint venture with the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) Heilbronn in 2022. At the Munich and Heilbronn locations, 140 employees currently pursue the goal of transforming European industry into a leader in the AI era in order to maintain Europe's competitiveness and actively shape the future.
