Guido Schlitzer leaves the management of High-Tech Gründerfonds

Personnel changes at High-Tech Gründerfonds: Guido Schlitzer is leaving the seed investor at the end of the year. The position of third managing director will be advertised and is expected to be filled by the end of the year.

Guido Schlitzer, in the management of the High-Tech Founders Fund (HTGF) responsible for Finance, Controlling, IT and Fund Administration, will leave the seed investor at the end of the year at his own request to pursue new professional challenges. Matthias Koehler, Chairman of the Investor Advisory Board of the HTGF, on the upcoming personnel change:

"Guido Schlitzer, whom we greatly value both professionally and personally, has provided significant impetus for both the HTGF and the startup ecosystem in Germany during his long career. We deeply regret his departure, but naturally respect his desire to take on new challenges after almost 19 years. We thank him for his outstanding commitment. He will be involved in all management projects until his departure."

Four funds with ever-increasing volumes

Guido Schlitzer was appointed to the management of HTGF in June 2020. As CFO, he built up the seed investor’s fund administration and Funds II to IV structured with increasing fund volumes within the framework of the public-private partnership.

From 2020 to 2023, he was responsible for the Industrial Tech investment sector. He also designed and established the DeepTech & Climate Fund (DTCF) for the BMWK and the BMF. Financed with funds from the Zukunftsfonds (Future Fund), the DTCF began operations in 2023. Guido Schlitzer himself commented:

As a venture capitalist, financing startups that contribute to better mastering the challenges of our time through innovation and disruption has always been a privilege for me. I would like to thank all of my colleagues at the HTGF, both current and alumni, who have supported and accompanied me along the way."

The position of the third managing director of the HTGF will be advertised in the coming weeks and is expected to be filled by the end of the year.
