Rarely does a startup arouse as much enthusiasm among investors as Fernride has achieved in recent years. The Munich-based company develops scalable automation solutions for trucks in yard and port logistics. The startup relies on the so-called 'human-assisted autonomy' approach, which enables the remote takeover of autonomous, electric trucks. In 2021, Fernride 7.1 million euros. In 2022, there was an undisclosed investment from DB Schenker, and in 2023, this was followed in quick succession by an initial 28.7 million euros, followed by a further 18.3 million euros. Another investment this year could therefore be quite possible. In the overall ranking in the Dealroom Signal, the startup thus achieved 72 points, but only 28 points in the "Timing" segment.
