Locaboo With its cloud-based solution, Locaboo offers cities and municipalities a more efficient way to manage and book public spaces, sports fields, and event spaces. "Locaboo's capital efficiency and strong growth convinced us. We are excited to support the team on their journey."

Fresh capital & many plans

With the newly raised capital, the government tech startup, which already boasts over 500 customers, plans to expand its team and strengthen its market penetration in the DACH region. At the same time, the team will continue to work on further developing the innovative cloud solution and ensuring even deeper integration into the process landscape of cities and municipalities.

Locaboo was founded in 2021 by Michael Loy and Andreas Michel. In an interview with Munich Startup, Andreas Michel shares his company's founding story:

"In our case, the actual founding of Locaboo GmbH was the culmination of a development process. Michael completed his IT training years ago in a district town and recognized back then that the administrative processes in the area of municipal buildings and properties, especially the occupancy of sports facilities, were still very manual and poorly digitized. The realization that these buildings remain unused for up to 90 percent of their lifetime ultimately encouraged us to jointly address this issue. The focus was not only on digitizing administration. Our goal was and remains to create a sustainable solution that enables everyone to efficiently utilize the diverse resources available while simultaneously improving the quality of life in cities."
