Hey Circle receives 1.5 million euros in seed financing round

The Munich-based startup Hey Circle has closed its latest financing round with €1.5 million. The fresh capital will be used entirely for the growth of the young company.

With its reusable shipping system, Hey Circle aims to make e-commerce more sustainable. The company has been able to Startup has now secured impact investor Capacura as lead investor for its seed financing round. Gateway Ventures, CK Venture, Super Angels, Brangs + Heinrich, and other business angels have also participated. The €1.5 million raised will be used to strengthen the startup's sales and IT team, expand production capacity, and Product portfolio be expanded.

Just last week, the Munich-based startup announced that it was strengthening its leadership team with Rebecca Steinke as COO. Steinke joins from e-commerce giant Amazon, where she held several management roles in logistics for five years. She will now work alongside Doris Diebold (CEO) and Morris Kurz (CTO).

By 2028, Hey Circle aims to replace 80 million single-use packaging items with more environmentally friendly shipping packaging. According to the company, a Hey Circle box can reduce waste by up to 94 percent and CO2 emissions by three-quarters compared to single-use cardboard. Thirty companies, including Drykorn and Austrian Post, are already among the startup's customers. The company is also conducting test projects with partners such as Trigema.
