3 to 10 – Mime et moi makes women’s shoes variable

mime et moi builds women's shoes with adjustable heels. The concept is a hit: After just two weeks, the Munich-based startup has already exceeded the funding goal of its Kickstarter campaign.

The heels of the shoes can be variably exchanged in height, shape, and color thanks to a click system: A small lever is hidden in the sole. This can be pulled firmly backward until the heel releases from the binding. The lever can then be closed again and a new heel can be inserted. The function of the heels is neither visible nor tangible, as it adapts to any height inside the inner shoe.

Handcraft meets high-tech

The team spent four years refining the technology, optimizing walking comfort, design, durability, and usability through various tests. Now, a Spanish manufacturer produces the shoes.

For Spring/Summer 2016, the mime et moi team is launching eight different colors, various materials, and three heel heights between 3 and 10 cm.
