2nd place: Second place in November goes to Agile Robots. The Munich-based provider of robotics solutions announced the acquisition of Franka Emika earlier this monthThe robotics company Franka Emika, founded in 2016, had to file for insolvency in August of this year after being unable to secure follow-up financing. At the same time, the Munich I public prosecutor's office is investigating the startup for subsidy fraud, as first reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk. The company is accused of continuing to work full-time despite receiving short-time work benefits. Agile Robots is now acquiring the struggling company for an undisclosed sum. According to Business Insider, the transaction involved €33 million. The company plans to continue operating Franka Emika with its approximately 100 employees.
