The Bavarian representative office in Japan will represent the Free State and its economy at the upcoming SusHi Tech in Tokyo. Startups will also have the opportunity to present their products and services. Interested companies can apply until mid-January.

Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo – SusHi Tech for short – is considered the largest startup event in Asia. On May 15 and 16, 2024, Tokyo It's all about new ideas, digital know-how, and cutting-edge technologies for tackling urban challenges such as demographic change, environmental and energy problems, and aging infrastructure. Startups from Asia and around the world, investors, large corporations, as well as representatives of states and cities, and student entrepreneurs will come together for this event.

The two-day conference, which is expected to attract around 40,000 participants, will also be accompanied by a roughly four-week program. This will feature festival-like showcases and practical experiences on urban topics in various parts of Tokyo. The event expects a total of around 500,000 visitors.

The Representation of the Free State of Bavaria in Japan will be participating in SusHi Tech 2024 with its own booth. It is looking for four Bavarian players interested in presenting themselves there. However, the representative office cannot fully cover the costs – in addition to travel expenses, the startups must cover booth costs of approximately €1,300 themselves. Interested startups can contact Susanne Schierok directly at schierok@bayern-japan.org report.
