Proxima Fusion expands pre-seed round

The Munich-based startup Proxima Fusion has increased its pre-seed financing to 7.5 million euros.

Only half a year ago, Proxima announced a merger the completion of its pre-seed round, in which the deeptech startup raised seven million eurosA number of unicorn founders, family offices, and industry leaders have now invested a further half a million euros in the young company. The 7.5 million euros will flow into the Development of the first commercial fusion power plant based on the Stellerator concept.

Proxima Fusion also says it has been able to attract a number of leading scientists to its project in recent months. The new team members come from institutions including the Technical University of Munich, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Lilium, Tesla, and Google.
