The Swiss incubator and early-stage VC Tenity has selected Greencent as one of seven startups for its "Tenity Nordic Hub" acceleration program. During the four-month program in Tallinn, the pre-seed startups will receive training, coaching, and mentoring from a team of experts. In addition, the young companies, all focused on impact, sustainability, and climate fintech solutions, will have one-on-one meetings to address specific challenges and opportunities in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The participating startups will all receive an initial investment of EUR 50,000 in the form of a convertible loan.
Anders Norlin, Head of Nordics & Baltics at Tenity, comments:
"The Nordic and Baltic regions have very thriving startup ecosystems, with Stockholm probably the most developed in terms of invested VC capital and the number of internationally recognized unicorns. However, because Estonia is a young country with no legacy industry, the entire society, from the government to the universities, is very keen to encourage and support startups. And for any early-stage startup that comes to Tallinn, the environment in which we can connect with all the relevant players is unique."
With its inclusion in the acceleration program and the associated investment, Greencent intends to further expand its communications and sales divisions. This will attract not only additional investors but also additional customers in Greencent's core markets – the DACH region and Hungary – to the company become aware.
One of the founders of Greencent, Enée Bussac, explained:
"After launching Greencent in Liezen, we plan to implement our system in another region or city to create visibility and leverage the valuable experience we have gained in Styria."
Regarding the inclusion of Greencent in its acceleration program, Tenity:
“Financial incentives play an important role in Motivation for environmentally conscious behavior and Greencent solves exactly this problem.”
