The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator program begins with a kick-off workshop in Munich from October 16 to 20. Hosted by Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, the event is dedicated to guiding the newly formed teams through the process of open innovation while addressing the specific challenges of the participating companies.
The kickoff is followed by the acceleration phase, in which solutions to the presented business challenges are developed. During this time, the teams are supported by virtual mentoring and tools for online collaboration. The final results will then be presented at the Form conference in Abu Dhabi and Beer Sheva from December 13 to 19. There, the participants will meet a large audience and representatives of the partner companies.
The barriers to participation in the program are low: In addition to fluent English and availability for the workshop sessions, BIPA expects applicants to have an open mindset and a desire to learn about innovation. A participation fee of €300 is charged to cover the costs of flights, accommodation, courses, and more. The application deadline is 14 September.
The United Arab Emirates is now part of the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator
Since 2015, BIPA's intercultural teams have been developing tailored solutions to current issues within a co-creation framework. The United Arab Emirates joined the program in 2021, having established diplomatic relations with each other in 2020. To date, there have been eleven BIPA editions, with over 50 corporate partners and over 270 participants.
The initiative, which is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, is backed by the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) Munich University of Applied Sciences, FOM University of Applied Sciences and the high-tech community Tech7 in Israel. Other partners are the Center for Digital Innovation and Ben Gurion University in Be'er Sheva and the Munich University of Applied Sciences. In 2020, the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences and the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences Regensburg also joined. Finally, Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi joined BIPA in 2021.
