Since its founding in 2013, Munich-based company Hologate claims to have equipped over 450 venues in 42 countries with its XR technology. Over 18 million players have since immersive entertainment products The startup's products are used for a wide range of applications. These include XR versions of mini golf and escape rooms, as well as various simulators and computer games, some based on well-known brands like Ghost Busters. Since 2020, Hologate has also been offering HGXR, a solution for companies that can simulate training situations, for example, for police or the military.
Hologate has now successfully completed its Series A financing round, raising €8.3 million. Bolero Holdings and Vester Partners, both new investors in the Startup are leading the round. Existing investors such as Cherry Ventures are also participating again. The fresh funds will primarily be used for further growth, product development, and new employees. The company also plans to focus even more on AI to enable realistic and authentic interaction with virtual humans.
