Munich Startup is looking for startups for Slush 2023

When the Finnish capital Helsinki becomes the meeting place for the international startup scene on November 30 and December 1, Munich, of course, can't be missed. That's why Munich Startup will once again be represented with a booth at Slush. And just like last year, we'll be bringing startups from Munich with us. Applications for these spots are open until August 11.

Together with the Startup Champs partner cities (Hamburg, Cologne, and Berlin), Munich Startup will once again have a booth at Slush – this year as part of the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce's Germany booth. Munich Startup will give three Munich-based startups the opportunity to present themselves to trade fair visitors. The package includes:

  • one entry ticket for Slush 2023 (1 ticket per startup)
  • the integration of your logo at the joint stand of the Startup Champ cities Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich
  • the temporary use of the joint stand as your own presence at the trade fair
  • a pitch on the German Pitching Stage

In addition, the selected startups can register for the Slush 100 pitch competition. The winning team of this startup competition, organized by the organizers of Slush, will receive an investment of €1 million from leading early-stage funds Accel, General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, NEA, and Northzone.

Registration for Munich Startup’s slush stand until August 11

Tech startups from Munich that are based on munich-startup.de/startups are listed and have already generated initial revenue with their product or service. The startup's total funding to date must not exceed €750,000. Furthermore, internationalization or the acquisition of international investors should be on the agenda. The deadline for applications is August 11, 2023.

In 2022, 4,600 early-stage startup founders met 2,600 investors representing $1 trillion in assets under management at Slush in Helsinki. Munich Startup booth presented themselves last year the startups Farminsect, Fernride, Justt and Mily Technologies. For them, the visit to Slush was worthwhile, as Felix Braune, Co-Founder of Justt, summarized:

"The booth makes it easy to arrive at the trade fair, rather than just walking in. You immediately have people here with whom you can do things. The exchange with other startups was really great; I learned a lot from them. I also had a number of valuable investor meetings."
