The 1st Munich Startup Festival in Review

Under the motto "From the scene, for the scene," we gathered Munich founders, investors, and supporters from the Munich ecosystem backstage for the 1st Munich Startup Festival. The photo gallery provides an overview of the day.

Entitled "Money Matters," the panel focused on retirement planning and financial security for female founders. Finances are still too often a male concern, which often affects women's financial security. Especially during the startup process, there are so many issues and to-dos that many female entrepreneurs no longer have their own retirement planning on their radar, confirmed Melly Schütze, founder and managing director of Nushu. According to financial expert and founder of HerMoney, Anne Connelly, the most serious mistake in long-term financial planning is simply doing nothing. Therefore, the unanimous advice of the panelists, who, in addition to Connelly and Schütze, included Katharina Jessel, board member of the health and travel insurers in the Versicherungskammer group, was to address financial retirement planning as early as possible, set up an appropriate savings plan, and start with small amounts.
