The 1st Munich Startup Festival in Review

Under the motto "From the scene, for the scene," we gathered Munich founders, investors, and supporters from the Munich ecosystem backstage for the 1st Munich Startup Festival. The photo gallery provides an overview of the day.

The official program concluded with the awarding of the Munich Startups AwardsIn a final pitching round, four Munich startups, which had previously prevailed against approximately 70 competitors and two semifinals, competed against each other. The jury decided: Deepdrive received the title of "Best Munich Startup" this year. The young company offers innovative drivetrains for electric vehicles that allow a vehicle to travel 20 percent further or require 20 percent smaller batteries for the same range. Gabriele Böhmer, Head of Munich Startup, and Clemens Baumgärtner, Munich's Minister of Labor and Economic Affairs, presented the award, which comes with a cash prize of 5,000 euros.
