Casana acquired by Andela

The Munich-based IT project platform Casana is being acquired by Andela. The New York-based company offers a global talent platform for the search, assessment, hiring, management, and compensation of IT professionals.

According to Andela, Casana's business model fits with its approach to assessing the qualifications for inclusion of members in its global talent network.

“My goal was to build a leading global talent marketplace,”

says the Casana co-founder Enrico Karnstädt.

"By merging with Andela, we have now achieved this. The more vetted freelancers in our network, the faster we can find the right candidate for each client, thus increasing the quality of the match. Our European clients now benefit from a larger, global pool of qualified IT experts and Andela's internationally established processes."

Karnstädt joins Andela and, as Director for DACH and Nordics, will lead the German business and expansion in Western Europe.

Casana: Platform checks applicants’ qualifications

Casana was founded by Enrico Karnstädt and Gabor Darvasi in Munich during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the Startups was to enable companies to test the technical skills of applicants for IT jobs.

Jeremy Johnson, co-founder and CEO of Andela, says:

"Enrico and his team have built Casana into a strong presence in Europe, and we look forward to supporting European clients with our network of vetted tech experts. Similar to the US, European companies are working remotely and will benefit from Andela's global network."
