Energyminer's pilot plant is located in the Auer Mühlbach stream at the Kraemer'sche Kunstmühle in Munich. It consists of a micro-hydropower plant called "Energyfish," which is almost entirely submerged and designed to pose no threat to fish. hydroelectric power plant uses the river's flow velocity to drive a rotor that generates electricity. There is no need to dam or alter the river. The river biotope remains intact and the landscape is not affected. The system operates silently and produces electricity in all weather conditions. The Energyfish is designed to operate in a swarm of up to 100 systems, supplying up to 470 households. According to the Company In contrast to wind power or photovoltaics, it is capable of base load.
Energyminer: “We are proud to create a clean and reliable energy source”
Energyminer's solution is designed to reduce investment costs by approximately 88 percent compared to comparable kinetic hydropower plants while simultaneously increasing energy yield. According to the company, the plants can be approved in just a few months and installed within a few hours.
Energyminer was founded in 2021 by Chantel Niebuhr, Georg Walder and Richard Eckl. George Walder says:
"The Energyfish is a breakthrough in hydropower technology and an important step toward the success of the energy transition. We are proud to create a clean and reliable energy source that protects the environment and supplies energy to communities and neighborhoods."
