European Business Promotion Awards: EU Commission honors funding projects

The European Commission honors outstanding achievements by public authorities and public-private partnerships with the European Enterprise Awards. Applications for the German preliminary round are open until May 5.

The European Enterprise Promotion Awards recognize projects and initiatives that serve as role models throughout Europe and encourage the creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity. The competition aims to identify and recognize successful promotions of entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurship. The RKW Competence Center is conducting the German preliminary round of the Competition through.

National, regional, or local authorities, educational institutions, business organizations, and public-private partnerships are eligible to participate. Of the approximately 350 applications submitted to the national preliminary rounds, approximately 50 will be selected for the European competition.

European Business Promotion Awards in six categories

The awards are presented in six different categories: promoting entrepreneurship, investing in business skills, supporting digital transformation, improving the business environment and supporting the internationalization of companies, promoting sustainable transformation, and responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship. In addition, the European jury awards the "Grand Jury Prize" to the initiative from any category that is considered the most creative and inspiring contribution to promoting entrepreneurship.

Information about all nominated projects and initiatives will be published via European and national online channels for the European Enterprise Awards. In Germany, a top 10 list will also be announced and presented in more detail, which will also be published as "Examples of Good Practice from Germany."
