The "Digital for All" initiative is awarding the "Prize for Digital Togetherness" for the fourth time. Public interest projects that successfully promote digital participation or harness the opportunities of digital transformation for civic engagement can apply online until April 3, 2023. Projects should already be underway and have a long-term vision. A high-profile jury will select the winners, who will be announced on June 14, 2023, shortly before the nationwide Digital Day.
"Digitalization opens up many opportunities and new fields of engagement and volunteering. This potential must be promoted,"
explains DFA Managing Director Kimberly Klebolte.
“With the Digital Collaboration Award, we want to honor those who are committed and make the diversity of digital engagement visible.”
Prize for digital togetherness is awarded in two categories
The prize is awarded in two categories: The "Digital Participation" category is open to projects and initiatives that help people escape digital isolation or ensure greater accessibility online. The "Digital Engagement" category recognizes projects that use digital technologies in innovative ways to expand civic engagement. This category includes, for example, digital support for refugee aid, open source solutions for non-profit organizations, or initiatives against online hate. Both categories carry a prize of €10,000 each.
