Talos: Tracking wild animals is not only well known from impressive animal documentaries; it also provides science with invaluable data. However, the transmitters used for this purpose have to perform to a high standard: They must be able to withstand cold, heat, moisture, and dust, not interfere with the animals, and have the longest possible battery life. Talos from Munich is developing the next generation of these transmitters. In an interview, CEO Gregor Langer explains what distinguishes his startup's technology. (Photo: UniBw M / Siebold)
