Blickfeld expands to China

The Munich-based lidar company Blickfeld is establishing a branch in Shanghai with the goal of targeting China as a core market.

General Manager of the Chinese Blickfeld branch is Mike Yang, who has worked for companies such as General Electric, Osram, and Valeo Sylvania over the past twenty years in the fields of technology, marketing, and sales, as well as as country manager and managing director. Currently, four employees are employed at the Munich companies in China. The team is expected to grow significantly to expand areas such as technical support, service capabilities, and the sales network in the country's major cities. General Manager Mike Yang says:

"It's an exciting opportunity to introduce German engineering like Blickfeld's lidar sensors to the Chinese market, where they enjoy a high level of trust. Now, companies there can also benefit from Blickfeld's cutting-edge technology by driving forward the digitalization of their processes and significantly improving the efficiency of their business models. My team and I are excited about the many opportunities that are already emerging and look forward to making lidar accessible to every company that can become more profitable as a result—and there are countless."

Blickfeld: “I am convinced of the potential of the lidar market in China”

Christian Waizenegger, Vice President Industry Sales & Business Development of Blickfeld, says:

"I am convinced of the potential and positive development of the lidar market in China. Chinese companies are already showing great interest in our high-tech products. I very much look forward to working with Mike Yang and his rapidly growing team of experts to quickly establish our advanced lidar technology in more and more industries."

The Lidar sensors of Blickfeld are used in mining, agriculture and recycling, among other industries, to obtain a minute-by-minute overview of the stored volumes of different materials.
