With the Weconomy initiative, the Knowledge Factory – Companies for Germany e. V. In cooperation with UnternehmerTUM and Handelsblatt, we promote forward-looking business ideas. The goal of the competition is to turn good founders into successful entrepreneurs. When selecting the winning startups, the judges place particular emphasis on one aspect:

This year, ten founders convinced the Weconomy jury, including Deepeye Medical, Deepscenario and Pioneering power including three Munich-based companies. As part of their award, the winning teams receive access to a network of specialists and executives, including top management in German business, and receive one year of support in implementing and further developing their business ideas. They receive individual support on various topics such as market entry, product development, and organizational and corporate development.

Deepeye Medical: Many cases of blindness result from treatable eye diseases. The medtech startup Deepeye has developed a decision-support algorithm for ophthalmologists. This allows them to offer personalized treatment to their patients, for example, those suffering from the widespread age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Deep scenario: Deepscenario's mission is to significantly accelerate the training and testing of autonomous systems. Founded in 2021, the AI startup's technology enables the scalable capture of real-world complexity and the precise, automated extraction of traffic scenarios. This enables its customers in the automotive industry to train and test algorithms for self-driving cars many times faster.
Pioneering power: Pionierkraft aims to facilitate the construction of photovoltaic systems using its innovative hardware and digital services. The Munich-based startup thus offers a profitable alternative to current tenant electricity concepts. As a one-stop shop, Pionierkraft offers a worry-free package without administrative overhead, integrating PV, heat, and mobility applications for optimal decentralized energy utilization.
