These Munich startups count celebrities among their investors
Many investors bring not only money and contacts, but also a name that almost automatically attracts attention. These Munich startups can boast of having convinced such celebrity investors.
With Joko Winterscheidt, Andreas Weinzierl has not only an investor but also a co-founder for his startup Sushi Bikes found. With their product, the entrepreneurs want to kill three birds with one stone. An affordable electric bike, which at €999 is significantly cheaper than competing products, combined with the pared-down aesthetics of a fixie bike (single-speed bike) and a lightweight and compact battery whose performance is geared towards urban conditions. Joko Winterscheidt explains the name: "Who doesn't immediately think of SUSHI when they think of e-bikes? One rolls, the other is a roll. That's why we came up with the perfect, albeit somewhat quirky, name from the Asian restaurant: Sushi Bikes – this is how we roll." (Photo: Sushi Bikes)
