The Personio Foundation operates two programs: the Impact Portfolio, which has already hosted eight NGOs since the foundation's inception at the end of 2021, and the HR Accelerator. The latter produces content designed to help nonprofit organizations expand their HR expertise.
Organizations that make it into the Personio Foundation's Impact Portfolio can expect multi-year, unrestricted grants, strategic support, and free access to Personio's HR management software, among other benefits. They also have the opportunity to help shape the HR Accelerator and build a community with other Impact Portfolio partners. Applications are still possible until 5 SeptemberHowever, official non-profit status is required.

Hanno Renner, co-founder of Personio and managing director of the foundation, explains:

It has always been our goal to share Personio's success and give back to help address these pressing issues. That's why I'm thrilled to now take the foundation to the next level."
One of the Impact Portfolio grantees is Circle Economy. The organization aims to accelerate the practical and scalable implementation of the circular economy. To this end, it supports decision-makers with information, roadmaps, and digital products. Martjin Lopes Cardozo, CEO of Circle Economy, says about the Impact Portfolio:

The foundation's founding dates back to the founding of Personio itself. the startup When it was launched in 2015, it committed to donating one percent of its equity to charitable causes through the Personio Foundation. This share is currently worth around $85 million.
