FLÜGGE starts new application round

The FLÜGGE funding program aims to support start-ups from universities in Bavaria in the areas of innovation, research, and technology. Interested applicants can apply until March 7, 2022.

FLÜGGE – or spelled out the Ffunding program for llighter UaboutGang in a Groundexistenz – is a program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology. Its goal is to accelerate the introduction and dissemination of modern technologies and services in business and society. To this end, FLÜGGE supports young graduates and employees of Bavarian state universities in implementing their innovative business ideas from the production and service sectors in their own companies. Both teams and individuals are welcome to apply. Previous participants in the program include Munich-based startups such as Munevo and Mk2 Biotechnologies.

The program supports prospective entrepreneurs with a scholarship at a university or university of applied sciences amounting to €2,500 per month, plus €150 per dependent child. In addition, project expenses of up to 50 percent of the scholarships are covered. Participants also receive in-kind support for business coaching and access to university resources. The funding period is between six and 12 months, depending on the specific project.

FLÜGGE applications open until March 7

The application period ends on March 7, 2022, and is divided into two stages: In the first stage, a project outline must be submitted. The necessary forms and explanations can be found hereIn the second stage, all teams whose proposals have been positively evaluated by the reviewers may submit a formal funding application. The deadline for this is June 10, 2022. The project is then expected to start on September 1, 2022.
