The 11th season of the startup show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (The Lion's Den) is currently being filmed. We take a look back: What happened to Munich startups that faced the TV investors?
Wisefood produces sustainable single-use and reusable products for the hospitality industry and private customers. Back then, under the name Eatapple, the Munich-based company presented its edible straws in the Lion's Den in 2018 and was met with considerable disappointment: Investors criticized the smell and taste of the prototype. Since then, Wisefood has significantly developed its straws and launched a whole range of other products. The Munich-based company has already completed several financing rounds, most recently in September 2021. The Stiftung Warentest Wisefood now rates the straws as the "Best Alternative in Test."
