With the "Good Example" competition, the Bavarian Broadcasting company's radio station aims to "promote innovative projects from Bavaria, recognize their creators, and motivate others to also set a good example." Anyone can submit a project: individuals, teams, initiatives, organizations, clubs, startups, and social businesses.
The project must be primarily organized from Bavaria. It can be supported by volunteers or follow a business model based on initiating positive change in society and tackling social, cultural, or ecological problems with creative approaches.
“Good example”: 10,000 euros for the finalists
A jury will select the five finalists from all applications after the application deadline on February 21. The jury consists of former Federal Minister of Justice Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, entrepreneur and serial founder Günes Seyfarth, an employee of the Hofpfisterei and journalists from Bayern 2. The decision will be made based on three criteria: The project should have social relevance, be beyond the idea phase and in implementation, and be oriented towards the future.
Starting March 28, Bayern 2 will present the finalists on its programming, website, and social media channels. Listeners can then vote online for their favorite until April 6, thus choosing the "Good Example of 2022." A total of 10,000 euros is up for grabs: 4,000 euros for first place, 2,500 euros for second place, 1,500 euros for third place, and 1,000 euros each for fourth and fifth place. The prizes will be awarded on April 6.
