Family-friendly job board Superheroine wins Excellence Award

The job board Superheldin has been awarded the "German Excellence Award 2022" in the category of Re-, Upskilling & Recruiting. The award is presented by the news channel n-tv, the German Institute for Service Quality, and the DUB company magazine.

The Job portal Superheroine connects mothers with family-friendly employers. Around 850 companies have already advertised on the job board, founded in 2019, including Coca-Cola, Vattenfall, the HR consultancy Hays, the technology company Atlas Copco, and the mail delivery company Pin. Sandra Westermann, founder of Superheldin, says:

"We are thrilled about this award, which is both recognition of our achievements so far and an incentive for us. Indeed, we see ourselves as driving a new beginning in Germany. Every second company struggles to fill vacant positions. On the other hand, mothers offer enormous potential that is largely untapped. We are ensuring that both sides find each other. Perhaps in the near future, a mother will fall in love with a new employer on our portal every 11 minutes, and vice versa. We are working on this."

For the fourth time, the German Excellence Award recognizes outstanding and pioneering achievements in German business. An 18-member jury, comprised of representatives from business, academia, and the media, selected the best 30 from 80 applications in seven categories. Patron of the award and member of the jury is the former Minister of Justice and Economic Affairs. Brigitte Zypries.

"Digital and sustainable transformation are the major challenges for the German economy. I am convinced that startups, SMEs, and large companies must and will seize the opportunities of this transformation."

says Zypries.

"Excellent work is already being done in our country. However, it often remains hidden. The German Excellence Award gives outstanding achievements a platform."
