Anybill: “We eliminate the paper chaos”

Receipts have always been a challenge: They either fill your wallet or are already in the trash by the time you need them. And the mandatory receipt system introduced at the beginning of 2020 hasn't improved the situation. How convenient would it be to simply digitize this paperwork? The startup Anybill is doing just that.

Munich Startup: Who are you and what does Anybill do? Please introduce yourselves briefly!

Anybill: Anybill aims to to provide a digital receipt for every payment – in merchant apps, banking and payment apps, or without an application – wherever tomorrow's consumers expect receipts. For comprehensive technical coverage, Anybill relies on cash register integrations, and with its flexible and scalable API services, merchants of all sizes and across all industries have the ability to issue digital receipts. Anybill acts as a technical enabler and, via SDK modules, enables the use of digital receipts as an embedded service in third-party applications, such as banking or merchant apps.

Anybill was founded in December 2019 by Lea Frank (BA in Business Administration and MS in Business Informatics), Tobias Gubo (BS in Computer Science), and Patrick Göttler (BS in Business Informatics) and has offices in Regensburg and Munich. Lea and Tobias met at a startup competition in Regensburg. Anybill currently employs a team of 25 technologists and visionaries.
