Temedica develops Brisa app for MS patients

Temedica develops digital therapy companions. The Munich-based startup has previously marketed Pelvina, an app for pelvic floor training; the back-training app Mineo; and Waya, an app for healthy nutrition and exercise routines. Now, Brisa, a new application for digital support for multiple sclerosis patients, is following suit. The app was developed in cooperation with Roche Pharma.

In Germany, an estimated 220,000 to 250,000 people are currently suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). Temedica With its new app Brisa, the company aims to help MS patients track their individual disease progression, regardless of therapy. The Munich-based startup has partnered with Roche Pharma for its latest development. Carola Bruns, Medical Lead Neuroscience at Roche Pharma, says about this cooperation:

"Digital technologies enable us to accelerate medical progress and jointly establish healthcare that focuses even more on the individual needs of patients. We are delighted to now have another innovative partner in Temedica. We are convinced that together and in cooperation with patients, physicians, and scientists, we will make a valuable contribution to further deepening our understanding of MS and further improving the quality of life of MS patients."

Advance research into the disease

Goal: Improve quality of life

Brisa's features include symptom tracking, individual recording of health data such as activity level, sleep patterns, eating habits, and fluid intake, and personalized therapy support with individual recommendations based on the analysis of the recorded data. Gloria Seibert continues:

The app combines scientific expertise and digital technology and is a unique tool for people with MS, helping them improve their quality of life."
