7 Munich Female Founders You Should Know

According to the Female Founders Monitor, 165 of 1,510 startups in Munich have a woman on their founding team, which is just 10.9 percent. Nationwide, however, the proportion of female founders averaged 19 percent between 2016 and 2018, according to the KfW (KfW German Development Bank). So, Munich has some catching up to do. Until then, we'll introduce you to some of Munich's female founders who serve as role models for other women and can inspire them to start their own businesses.

Zarah Bruhn from Social-Bee: Find a topic you're passionate about – and then just do it. With this attitude, Zarah Bruhn founded the startup Social-Bee together with Maximilian Felsner in 2016. This made it the first temporary employment agency to actively integrate refugees into the job market and society. When asked about her greatest talent, she says Interview with Munich Startup"Kick, kick, kick. Rethink. Do. Nothing is impossible. I would describe myself as a 30/70 person. I usually hammer out the first 30 percent, the ones that hurt the most and require a lot of energy, and get the ball rolling.
