Timebro wins Heinz Raufer as investor

With its time tracking tool, Timebro was able to convince Hotel.de founder Heinz Raufer and other business angels. The Munich-based startup received a total of €500,000 from the investors.

Despite the digitization of time cards in many companies, there is still room for improvement in recording working hours. After all, every employee can forget to clock in or out. Furthermore, the home office, where more and more people are currently working, presents additional challenges. Timebro's solution is designed to remedy this. It relies on an algorithm that automatically measures the time of all activities on the computerThis allows the system to accurately record not only the working time itself, but also how much time the user spent in individual programs. This is a further advantage for companies that need to precisely allocate working time to individual projects. The results remain exclusively with the user, who can then report them themselves via the tool.

Arne Reimann, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Timebro, explains:

"What makes our tracking unique is its privacy. All data is stored exclusively on the user's device – not in the cloud. This way, we ensure that no one other than the user can see what they've been working on and for how long. No boss can peek in, no colleague, and not even we at Timebro. This makes us the only activity tracker that truly complies with data protection regulations in large companies."

Funding thanks to the Vienna investor network

Timebro has now secured an investment of €500,000 from various business angels. The Munich-based startup was assisted by the Vienna investor network. Primecrowd, which connected the founders Arne Reimann, Niclas Preisner and Mislav Boras with the investors and organized the digital round.

About the investors who have now put their money into Timebro Markus Kainz, CEO of Primecrowd:

"A business case like Timebro needs a strong network to grow quickly. Therefore, the constellation of investors was particularly important this time. With experts Heinz Raufer, the Tanzanit Foundation, Ingo Dopplinger, Karin Dopplinger, Werner Schweitzer, and Stephan Berendsen, we achieved this with a dream team."

Stephan Berendsen, who was already one of the Munich startup's financiers in 2018, is satisfied with his investment:

"The shift of users to home offices has reduced the visibility of work. Timebro addresses the emerging trend of employee monitoring with an employee-friendly tracking concept that supports individuals in self-determined time tracking and saves users headaches. This benefit for employees and management is what makes our success so special."
