Crowdfunding: Chargex raises one million euros

The Munich-based charging infrastructure startup Chargex raised one million euros through a crowdfunding campaign. The funding goal was reached just one day before the campaign ended.

A total of 831 private investors are investing on the crowdfunding platform Green Rocket in the Munich startup Chargex. Investors receive 5.5 percent annual interest for their investment, with a minimum term of five years. The proceeds will be used, among other things, for sales and further development of the product.

The startup is already planning series production of its 'Aqueduct' electric car charging system for 2021.

“One million euros from over 800 people gives charging infrastructure the importance it deserves,”

says CEO and co-founder Tobias Wagner. For a long time, the focus was only on electric vehicles and rarely on the urgently needed charging points.

The Aqueduct charging system can charge up to eight electric vehicles from a single power connection. The vehicles are charged alternately using an intelligent charging algorithm, ensuring there is always enough energy available for their respective needs.
