UVC Partners launches new fund with 150 million euros volume

UVC Partners, the venture capital arm of the UnternehmerTUM startup incubator, has launched a new fund for B2B startups. A total of €150 million is available. This is UVC Partners' third fund.

With the new fund, UVC Partners invests in startups from Germany and Europe in the areas of industrial technologies, B2B software and mobility.

“We typically invest in the Seed or Series A phase,”

says Dr. Ingo Potthof, Managing Partner at UVC.

“During this time, we can best support with our model and remain an active partner throughout the entire life cycle.”

The Early-stage investor sees as its advantage the close connection to the TU Munich-based incubator UnternehmerTUM. It has 150 corporate partners and more than 5,000 students.

“We are already accelerating over 10 percent of all German tech startups and serving a large number of established companies – from medium-sized businesses to DAX corporations – as a central, open innovation platform for solutions of the future,”

says Prof. Dr. Helmut Schönenberger, Managing Partner at UVC and CEO of UnternehmerTUM.

"Our 250-person team continuously drives innovation projects with startups and established companies. UVC Partners has access to this highly effective network."

Success of the previous UVC funds made investor search easier

According to the company, UVC Partners' first two VC funds generated strong returns. The first fund, UVC I, even ranks among the top ten percent of European VCs in the information and communications technology sector in terms of financial returns.

“Thanks to this success, we have managed to attract new investors even during the Corona crisis,”

says Potthof. The new fund's investors include successful startup entrepreneurs like the Flixbus founders, institutional investors, family offices, family businesses, and corporates. Especially for established companies, the VC fund offers access to innovative products from startups in addition to financial returns.
