Ryd expands management team

The Munich-based startup Ryd is expanding its management team. Armin Höll-Steier will join Thinxnet as CEO and Roger Barth as CFO.

The connected car platform Ryd is restructuring its management. Armin Höll-Steier, former Managing Director of the comparison portal Check24 and most recently a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group, will be the new CEO. Roger Barth, the future CFO, also brings a wealth of experience as a former consultant at Horvath & Partners and former Vice President Finance at the Berlin-based Electric scooter startup Unu not only management but also startup experience. With the change in management, Ryd co-founder Johannes Martens will focus on product strategy in the future as CPO. With this management expansion, the startup aims to be optimally staffed for its planned scaling.

Ryd is a product of Thinxnet, a fast growing IoT and fintech startupFounded in 2014, Thinxnet aims to bring the digital future to the road. To this end, the startup offers a connected car platform and a cross-brand in-app solution for mobile payment at gas stations. The Munich-based company plans to roll out this solution across Europe. Currently, the offering is available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Three experts, one goal: scaling Ryd

As the new CEO, Armin Höll-Steier brings extensive experience to scale and further grow the contactless in-app payment solution and the telematics business internationally. Roger Barth specializes in future-proof and digitally driven business ideas. As the new CFO, he can therefore make a significant contribution to the company's further development. Co-founder Johannes Martens will continue to drive the continuous optimization of Ryd's products as CPO.
