“The importance of social innovations is particularly evident in times of crisis”
At the start of the competition, Federal Research Minister Anja Karliczek:
"The importance of social innovations is particularly evident in times of crisis like the current pandemic. These times confront us with unplanned changes, very suddenly and unexpectedly. Important areas of our everyday lives and interactions suddenly no longer function as before and require new approaches. There is great potential for this in our society, and I am pleased to see how citizens are currently reconnecting."
In areas such as climate change, migration or demographic change, we are facing social challenges that require social innovations to overcome them.
