The Munich-based startup Smart Access Solutions and the Austrian specialist for electromechanical locks in the high-end furniture sector PS seal a long-term partnership in the field of “networked locks”.
Smart Access Solutions develops solutions for the management and operation of electronic locking systems. The focus of the startup The company's focus is on storage and logistics for the professional sector, but door lock systems are now also part of its portfolio. Technologies from the fields of serverless computing, sensor technology, and artificial intelligence are used to develop simple and secure access and monitoring solutions.
PS is now sourcing a cloud-based management solution for its electronic locks from the Munich-based company. This will allow new employees, for example, to access display cases, drawers, or lockers from their desks with just a click of the mouse. In the past, this required manually activating smart cards and locks individually using programming cards. Thanks to the Smart Access Solutions solution, PS locks can now be managed centrally, even without a direct internet connection. The cloud system also serves to maintain and monitor the locks' security.

With the Vorarlberg-based company PS, Smart Access Solutions has found a partner capable of bringing the startup's solutions to the international stage. The supplier and wholesaler of furniture components, established in 1986, has made a name for itself particularly in the field of innovative and high-precision electromechanical locks. Through its international network of distribution partners, PS locks—and thus also the Smart Access Solutions solution—are available not only throughout Europe, but also in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, India, and South Korea. PS will market the new system directly and through this network.
