Munich's startup scene is now home to several unicorns, companies valued at more than one billion dollars. Germany's first decacorn is also based here.

Agile Robots: In one Series C round in September The Munich-based robotics startup Agile Robots not only raised 186 million euros, but also achieved unicorn status. With a current Company valuation of 909 million euros Agile Robots is valued above the $1 billion mark, making it one of Munich's unicorns. Founded in 2018, Agile Robots is headquartered in Munich and Beijing. The spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has independently developed and marketed software and hardware products in the robotics sector, including an operating system for coordinating robots and accessories.
