Tech Days Munich originally planned to bring together corporations, researchers, and startups in person, as they do every year—but due to the coronavirus crisis, the organizers had to rethink their concept. Instead of meeting in the Muffathalle, the event will now be held digitally. Startups can apply for a digital exhibition space at the event until June 1.
The Tech Days Munich of the Center for Digitalization Bavaria and the Munich Security Network will take place online on June 15, 2020. The program includes panels, tech talks, and workshops, focusing on cleantech, IT security, and innovation management. The event was originally scheduled to take place on June 7 and 8, featuring an opening night, exhibitor area, and demo zone. However, due to COVID-19, this is not possible. Therefore, the organizers decided to design a digital event.
In addition to the online panels and tech talks, there will now be a virtual exhibitor area at the live event. Startups will be integrated there with their logo and company profile. They will also have the opportunity to submit a technology pitch as a video, which will also be available there. The company profiles and pitches will also remain available on the Techdays website beyond the event day. The Startup Challenge, in which cleantech startups compete for the 'Clean Tech Startup Award' — supported by Gate Garching However, the event, which was originally planned for the startups to pitch on-site in front of a panel of experts, had to be canceled. The experts were then supposed to ask questions, and the audience would vote for the winner.
