Batch #10 is coming to an end. Ten startups reported yesterday at Techfounders Demo Day on what's happened in the past 20 weeks and where they currently stand.
20 weeks of individual training, coaching and mentoring — together with the TechfoundersDuring this intensive phase, ten selected startups worked on various pilot projects with industry partners and received coaching to prepare them for their first round of financing. Yesterday evening, the ten startups finally pitched their innovative solutions and products to industry partners, venture capital majors, business angels, the media, and interested parties at the conclusion of the program.
Important topic: sustainability
In addition to the familiar B2B and tech focus, Batch #10 included three startups that are strongly focused on sustainability: Cyclic Design, Ogata, and Wisefood. Together with industry partners Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd, these startups worked on sustainable solutions and innovations in the areas of packaging and plastic reduction.
"As a group of entrepreneurs, it's very important to us to avoid plastic waste and recycle plastics. Whether it's innovative reusable bags that can also be conveniently carried as a backpack, capless shampoo bottles, or edible drinking straws – the collaboration with Techfounders offers us an ideal platform to learn about new, exciting ideas and use them as part of the 'Aldi Packaging Mission',"
says Kristina Bell, Group Buying Director Aldi Süd.
Startups and industry partners benefit from each other
Heiko Huber, Managing Director at Techfounders, adds:
"Batch #10 has once again demonstrated how much startups and industry partners benefit from each other. The individual coaching, pilot projects, and wealth of experience of our partners meet the forward-looking ideas and innovative products and services of our founders. I'm particularly pleased that we can now also cover the topic of sustainability."
