The Munich startup Foodji was able to attract Christian Gaiser, Co-founders of the Berlin-based company Kaufda/Bonial and the European Angel Fund have been recruited as investors. Details about the amount invested are not known.
Foodji offers smart vending machines with fresh food. Founded in 2016, the startup's vending machines are located at locations including Munich Airport. The product range includes drinks, snacks such as salads and chocolate bars, lunch bowls, and bagels. Customers can purchase the desired products directly from the vending machine via touchscreen or reserve and pay up to 12 hours in advance via the app.
Less waste and higher sales through machine learning
The machines are connected to each other in the cloud, allowing for intelligent product planning, price adjustments, and supply chain management. Machine learning algorithms The aim is to determine demand at all locations as accurately as possible so that the optimal amount of supplies can always be delivered to the vending machine.
