The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs will soon offer a funding guide for startups. With this reorientation of Bavaria's technology funding programs, the ministry aims to provide more clarity in the funding jungle.
There are numerous funding programs for tech startups. However, it's particularly difficult for young companies to figure out which program is right for them, where to apply for funding, or even estimate the effort required to obtain the funding.
Therefore, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs has now established an official office as a funding pilot. These will serve as a single point of contact for companies interested in funding. The funding pilot will provide expert information on the entire range of technology funding programs at EU, federal, and state levels and coordinate inquiries regarding Bavarian Technology funding programs.
Funding-free people should provide an overview in the funding jungle
Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger:
"Many companies have long since lost track of the funding jungle and are unaware of what funding is available, for example, in the technology sector. This can result in a lot of money being lost. We want to change that and provide more clarity. That's why we use funding guides to support them."
This provides particularly inexperienced applicants with transparent and easy access to applying for funding. In addition, the funding pilots receive project ideas directly and help match them with the appropriate funding lines and project sponsors. The funding pilots are located at the Bavarian Project Management Agency (Project Management Bavaria) under the umbrella of 'Bayern Innovativ'.
