Find the right hotel in seconds
The Munich startup nekst from the network of FounderRegio M has recently launched a highly personalized hotel search. The launch took place at the end of October at this year's Web Summit in Dublin.
At the annual technology conference, which attracted over 30,000 attendees, the team was selected for the so-called "ALPHA CLASS" of the multi-day event. On-site, nekst presented its hotel search solution to a broad audience of industry professionals at its own booth.
The “essence of taste”
According to a study by the Boston Consulting Group, travelers spend an average of over 13 hours searching for and booking a suitable hotel. Nekst has developed an innovative big data approach that enables highly personalized hotel searches in the shortest possible timeThe specially developed technology can extract the "essence of taste" of each user and thus compile suitable hotels for any destination in the world. By specifying hotels from past trips that matched one's taste, the software can determine individual tastes based on hundreds of criteria and personalize the search algorithm for each user. After specifying the destination and time period, a tailor-made hotel selection is delivered in seconds.
The travel startup was initiated by Darius Abde-Yazdani, Sebastian Lehnerer and Florian Probst in early 2015. Since April 2015, nekst has been operating at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich through the program “EXIST Start-up Grant” funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
