New partnership for the Insurtech Hub Munich (ITHM): With the Japanese insurance group Dai-ichi Life, an international player in the insurance industry has been secured as a partner for ITHM. Dai-ichi Life aims to gain access to European insurtechs through the cooperation with ITHM.
The Japanese life insurance group is becoming a new partner at ITHM. Having already been active in the US innovation center through its Innovation Lab in Silicon Valley, Dai-ichi now plans to expand its innovation scouting efforts in Europe through ITHM.

Therefore, as a partner of ITHM, we are pleased to gain better access to the European insurtech scene and to exchange ideas on the developments and challenges in innovating our customer experience and the operational efficiency of the insurance industry."

With Dai-ichi Life new market potential in Asia for Munich startups
Tom van den Brulle, Chairman of the Board of Management of ITHM and Global Head of Innovation at MunichRe, welcomes the Japanese insurance group's accession to ITHM. He said:

At the end of May, the ITHM also announced the Partnership with Build38. The Munich-based startup for app security will provide advice to startups in the upcoming fourth batch of the W1Forward Accelerator with his expertise in the field of mobile security.
