FXH 2019 Startup Award: Startups with solutions for healthcare sought

Startups can now apply for the FXH 2019 Startup Award. We are looking for innovative startups that want to contribute to better patient care in the digitalized healthcare system with their research and ideas.

Startups make an important contribution to ensuring the success of digital transformation in healthcare. Where the industry reaches its limits, young founders often take new, unconventional paths and thus manage to overcome hurdles. What they often lack, however, are the resources and know-how to successfully establish themselves in the market. With the FXH Startup Award, the pharmaceutical company aims to Roche Promote exchange and collaboration between industry and startups. The goal: to jointly leverage the opportunities of digitalization for our healthcare system and improve the lives of patients worldwide.

Apply now for the FXH 2019 Startup Award

Startups younger than eight years can now apply for the FXH Startup Award until July 1, 2019. The competition is looking for startups that drive the digitalization of healthcare according to the motto “The digital (r)evolution – a new era for patients” – with intelligent solutions for patients, including:

  • show new ways of handling patient data,
  • Make research and development smarter and more efficient, or
  • contribute to better patient care.

Prize money totaling 17,500 euros

The award can serve as a springboard for participants: In addition to a total prize of €17,500 for the top three, the winner will receive exciting insights into Roche's digital health accelerator "Startup Creasphere" in a deep dive session, including contact with mentors and venture capitalists. The first- to third-place winners will also have ongoing discussions with Roche experts about their developments, thus gaining access to valuable expert knowledge. All nominated startups will also have their own booth at Future X Healthcare. The trade fair will take place on November 14 at the Science Congress Center Garching near Munich.
